Founder: Princess Guwor-Vonyeegar
The Kumba Foundation was founded by Princess Guwor after a trip to Liberia in December 2018. It was her first time back in over 18 years. There was a lack of school supplies amongst all the children in Monrovia. Princess decided to give back to the community.
The trip was an eye opener. After realizing Liberia lacked educational resources. She created “The Kumba Foundation.” The name “Kumba” is a dedication to Princess’s mother, who passed away in 2012 to Carbon Monoxide Poisoning. Her passing was a huge impact in her life. Kumba was known for her generosity naming the Foundation after her is fitting.
